Quite a few things have happened over the last week:
On Friday, I took the first of 12 or so consecutive Fridays off to spend a little more time with Rye. It was a great day that included a visit to Mom's office. I'm very much looking forward to this. On Saturday, we went to our first Music Together class. It's a bunch of little kids and their parents in a big room clapping, stomping, dancing, drumming, and singing the classics (think, Peas Porridge Hot) and making up songs about coming and going (The Hello Song and the Goodbye Song, respectively). In other words, it takes a little effort to suppress the urge to sit in the corner and make fun of other parents' dance moves.
Rye met her great uncle John Pilmer (my dad's brother) last Sunday while he was in town briefly. The meeting went well and John's status as "the cool uncle" is still in tact.
The Little Girl is fighting her second cold. Her little cough is a heart-breaker and also a sleep-killer (for everyone).
The biggest news is that she figured out how to roll herself over from stomach to back...we have video evidence of this first of many milestones. See below.
Oh, and Rhoda tried to teach her how to eat rice cereal from a spoon. It's a work in progress.
...one more thing. She discovered her foot this weekend...and tried to eat it.
Here are some pictures and a video:
